I've been in the planning stages of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and that kicks off on November 1st. In one month I'm going to try and write 50,000 words. I'm trying to be as prepared for this as I can and I'm asking for people to cheer me on. I'm going to need it by the end of November. It's my first time and I'm hoping that I can do it.

I strongly believe that kids need creativity and imagination in their lives. They need to have fun and create things. Creative writing allows them to create princess, monsters, dragons, pirates, and whatever else they can come up with. I haven't had an easy life and there's a reason why I started writing when things started to get bad. It helped me get away from it for a little while and had some control of my world. I could control who left and who stayed, who lived or died, whether it was a happy or sad ending. That was my escape. I think it's a better escape then some of the ones people use now.

I know it's been a while since I've made an update, but I've been busy working on "Lucy's Wolverine." I'm just over halfway done with the novel and I'm happy to say that I'm ahead by a few days!
